Kelson Treuhardt

With over twenty years of experience in structural engineering, Kelson Treuhardt is a seasoned Graduate Engineer celebrated for his expertise in both designing and evaluating a diverse range of construction projects. While specializing in wood-frame residential design and construction, Kelson has made significant contributions to projects involving structural steel, concrete, commercial developments, and more. His journey began in 2004 as an entry-level drafter at MLAW ENGINEERS in Austin, where he eventually rose to lead the design department. Driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, Kelson pursued higher education, culminating in a degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
While finishing up his academic pursuits, Kelson also served as the Vice President of Engineering and a Managing Member in COPELAND ENGINEERING from 2016-2023. Kelson was instrumental in the firm's establishment and growth.

Ralph Gaston
FOUNDER
Ralph Gaston, armed with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas (UT) and holding a Professional Engineer (PE) license since 2015, has forged a distinguished career defined by expertise in slab-on-grade foundation design, wood-framed structure gravity and wind design, and CAD programming. Serving as our technical programming expert, Ralph develops customized programs tailored to address intricate engineering calculations, empowering our design team with adaptable solutions. Ralph's versatile skill set renders him an invaluable asset, propelling excellence and innovation in civil engineering. Ralph's journey commenced in 1999 as an entry-level drafter at a local Austin firm, MLAW ENGINEERS, and from 2016 to 2023, he contributed to the inception of COPELAND ENGINEERING. In his role as Vice President of Engineering, Ralph played a pivotal role in both establishing and expanding the firm.

Aaron Weaver

Aaron Weaver embarked on his professional journey in 2004 at a local structural engineering firm, MLAW ENGINEERS, where he ascended to the role of Inspection Manager, overseeing teams across Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas. Throughout his career, Aaron's dedication to continuous improvement and his deep understanding of engineering principles have provided him the opportunity to harness his innate agility and expertise in business process, reengineering, project management, and troubleshooting.
From 2016 to 2023, Aaron served as the Vice President of Operations at COPELAND ENGINEERING, where he further refined his skills in operational excellence. With unwavering commitment, he offers strategic guidance and is a trusted advisor to a diverse clientele. His expertise spans large-volume production builders, high-end custom builders, commercial, and multi-family projects. Aaron is always curious and eager to solve a problem.
